New Search for τ → μ γ and τ → eγ Decays at Belle Belle Collaboration
We report on a search for the lepton flavor violating τ → μγ and τ → eγ decays based on 535 fb−1 of data accumulated at the Belle experiment. No signal is found and we set 90% confidence level upper limits on the branching ratios B(τ → μγ) < 4.5× 10−8 and B(τ → eγ) < 1.2 × 10−7.
متن کامل– 1 – Τ Branching Fractions
To accommodate the 9 new experimental papers listed in the τ References for this edition, only a few changes were made to the τ Listings. There were new measurements of the τ charged-prong topological branching fractions by the DELPHI [1] and L3 [2] collaborations. Early measurements of these branching fractions tended to define charged tracks from K 0 S → π − π + decays as charged prongs, whil...
متن کاملΤ Branching Fractions
The B factories continue to dominate experimental publications on the τ. Since the previous edition of this Review, there have been 15 published papers that have contributed measurements to the τ Listings, including 6 from the BaBar Collaboration and 8 from the Belle Collaboration. Seven of these papers have provided new upper limits on the branching fractions for neutrinoless τ-decay modes. Of...

متن کاملFirst Measurement of the Branching Fraction of the Decay ψ ( 2 S ) → τ + τ −
The branching fraction of the ψ(2S) decay into τ+τ− has been measured for the first time using the BES detector at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider. The result is Bττ = (2.71± 0.43± 0.55)× 10−3 , where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. This value, along with those for the branching fractions into e+e− and μ+μ− of this resonance, satisfy well the relation predict...
